1. Goals and objectives 

• popularization and development of snowkiting; 

• competition, identification of the strongest athletes; 

• improving the skills and exchange of experience of participants, organizers, judges; 

• promotion of healthy lifestyles.

2. Organizers

The organizing committee of "Trans-Onego" is responsible for the organization of the competition.

3. Rights and obligations of organizers

3.1. Organizations

As agreed with the Organizer, they participate in the presentation of the competition in all official institutions, have the right to freely participate in all official events and activities held within the framework of the competition, with the placement of their name and logo on all competition sites.

3.2. Organizer Carries out direct management of the organization and conduct of the competition, interaction with the participants, the judging panel, volunteers, official government bodies, partners, the media. Draws up this Regulation, Racing Instruction, protocols. Has the exclusive right to use the name of the competition, logo, (according to the above sample), of which he is the author.

3.3. Referee team

Carries out:

• Preliminary control of the participants' compliance with the conditions of admission to the competition, namely, checking:

- passing preliminary registration;

- availability and serviceability of mandatory equipment;

- availability of a life and health insurance policy against accidents;

- availability of a completed participant declaration.

• Control of installation at a distance of all necessary signs according to the Racing Instructions.

• Control and written registration of the participants' entry to the start and the distance with immediate registration in the official protocol, on the official website, on the information board.

• Giving the necessary signals at the start, at the distance and at the finish.

• Control over the participants' compliance with the Racing Instructions, Regulations and other regulatory documents with an immediate written record of all violations in the Protocol.

• Control over the location of the participants at the distance, fixing the start, finish, passing the checkpoints, time and place of stopping for the mandatory rest, with immediate registration in the official protocol, on the official website, on the information board.

Control over the operation of the tracking system, interaction with participants and with the provider of the tracking system to ensure its proper operation.

• Keeping the Protocol of the competition, including the collection of information from checkpoints.

• Participation in the analysis of protests.

• Issue of the Finishing Protocol no later than 09.00 07 March 2021, 1 hour before the start of the award ceremony.

Full interaction with the head of the distance, full informing of the head of the distance, following his instructions, orders, instructions.

4. Place and time

Conditions: no quarantine restrictions, sufficient ice cover.

The competition is held from 2 to 7 March in the water area of Lake Onega, or in another reservoir of the Republic of Karelia, suitable for ice conditions.

The headquarters and place of registration are located at: Russia, Petrozavodsk, st. Kuibyshev, 26, hotel "Cosmos".

5. Competition format : The competition is held in the format of a 4-day autonomous race in the discipline of "snowkiting" with three independent overnight stays in field conditions on the ice of Lake Onega for teams of two or three people transporting racing and hiking equipment independently in full autonomous mode along a distance with a planned total length 300 - 350 kilometers. The main method of movement is using kites on skis. If it is impossible to use kites, the permissible modes of movement are: ski tour and on foot. More details in the Racing Manual.

5.1. Route

The route is established by the head of the distance with preliminary notification of the participants at least 5 days before the start and final notification at the organizational meeting the day before the start.

5.2. Possible distance options

Possible options for the competition distance at the discretion of the distance chief, depending on ice and other conditions:

• Priority:

- a circuit race along one large closed route with a fixed distance;

- linear race along one long route with a fixed distance.

• Additional options:

- a circuit race with several passes of the same closed route with a common fixed distance;

- a circuit race with several passes of the same closed route with a set of distance traveled.

5.3. Team composition

The competition is held only in team competition. The team consists of 2-3 people. General classification for men, women and mixed teams.

The team must name the team captain to the head of the course.

If there is a sufficient number of women's and mixed teams, the organizers may declare an additional offset for this category of teams.

5.4. Competition rules

The rules of the competition are governed by these Regulations, the Sailing Instructions, the Rules of Sailing Races (insofar as it may be logically applicable to the given format of the competition) and the orders of the Race Master.

6. Requirements for participants in the competition and conditions for their admission

6.1. General requirements for participants

Athletes are allowed to participate in the competition:

• Timely applied for participation;

• Those who paid the entry fee;

• Registered to participate in the competition;

• Those who have read and agree with the conditions of the competition, these Regulations, Racing Instructions, all other regulatory documents published on the official website http://trans-onego.ru/;

• Having no medical contraindications for participation in this competition (at the responsibility of the participants themselves);

• Experienced in winter multi-day kite trips;

• Ages 18 and older.

6.2. Athletes 17 years old

are allowed to participate in the competition only:

• In a team with a participant 18 years old and older;

• When passing the pre-start registration accompanied by one of the parents;

• With the written consent of both parents;

• With medical clearance.

6.3. Equipment control

Each team must present their equipment to the representatives of the organizers to check the completeness according to the list in Appendix No. 1 and to carry out a control weighing. A team is not allowed to start if the equipment does not match the list and minimum weight, without a refund of the entry fee.

6.4. Admission to participation

A team is allowed to participate if the team captain presents the form issued during the equipment check, with the marks:

• Checking equipment;

• Availability of insurance;

• Availability of a participant's declaration;

• Payment of the entry fee.

6.5. Obligations of the participants during the competition

Each participant of the competition must follow the orders of the Head of the course, judges, controllers at the distance. In case of conflicting instructions, the orders of the Race master shall take precedence.

7. Responsibility

All athletes, coaches, organizers, judges, volunteers, representatives take part in the competition at their own peril and risk. The racing committee and the organizing organizations do not accept responsibility for the life and property of the participants in the competition, as well as for possible bodily harm or damage to the property of the participants in the competition or in connection with the competition.

All participants in the competition, athletes, coaches, organizers, judges, volunteers, representatives must:

• comply with safety measures, including anti-epidemiological, environmental, rules of conduct on ice and on the territory of the competition venue;

• attend official events and ceremonies within the framework of the competition,

• at the request of the organizers, apply advertising materials to the uniform or equipment that do not create inconveniences for movement;

• respectfully treat other participants, organizers, volunteers, spectators, observe generally accepted rules of conduct and legislation of the Russian Federation.

8. Competition program

03/02/2022 (Wed) - Hotel "Cosmos" *

10.00 - 14.00 Checking the equipment. Registration of teams, admission to participation, issuance of start numbers.

16.00 - Organizational meeting in English.

17.00 - Organizational meeting in Russian.

The attendance of all participants at the meeting is required. In case of absence from the meeting, the head of the distance has the right to prevent the team from participating without refunding the entry fee.

18.00 Opening ceremony. Joint dinner.

08.00 - Opening of the launch complex. Before going out on the ice, at the point indicated by the head of the distance at org. meeting, each team in its entirety must check in with a representative of the org. committee and be photographed by him.

10.00 - The starting gate is open,

10.30 - The starting gate is closed.

11.00 - Launch complex is closed.

In case the team did not start in the race, it must register the exit from the race at the same registration point before 11.00. If this requirement is not met, the team will be disqualified from participation in Trans-Onego in the following years.

03.03.2022 (Thu) - 21.00 - Race stop for overnight stay.

03/04/2022 (Fri) - 07.00 - continuation of the race.

03/04/2022 (Fri) - 21.00 - race stop for overnight stay.

03/05/2022 (Sat) - 07.00 - continuation of the race.

03/05/2022 (Sat) - 21.00 - race stop for overnight stay.

03/06/2022 (Sun) - 07.00 - continuation of the race.

03/06/2022 (Sun) - 18.00 - Closing of the finish line, control time of the race, fixation

locations and collection of non-finishing teams at points for delivery to the finish.

It is possible to organize an informal entertaining race for previously finished teams.

20.00 - Preliminary summing up, festive evening.

03/07/2022 (Mon) - Hotel "Cosmos"

10.00 - award ceremony.

11.00 - 18.00 - buffet table, cultural program.

* The organizing committee reserves the right to make the following changes:

• Venues;

• Regulations (within the specified dates);

• Cancellation of the competition in case of an unfavorable epidemiological situation, quarantine measures, non-compliance of the ice cover with safety requirements, without the right to make claims from the participants and other persons.

All changes will be communicated to the bidders in due time by email to the e-mail address specified in the application.

9. Application for participation

Preliminary registration of teams is open on the website http://www.trans-onego.ru/ from 00 October 14, 2021 to February 25, 2022.

The entry fee from each participant is:

• 5000 rubles - if paid before February 01, 2021;

• 5500 rubles - if paid after February 01, 2021.

In case of refusal to participate in the competition, the entry fee is not refundable.

The entry fee includes:

• Accommodation of nonresident participants in a hotel from 2 to 3 and from 6 to 7 March 2022;

• Provision of storage space for equipment;

• Expenses for organizing the competition:

- reconnaissance of the condition of the ice surface along the route of the race;

- organization of control points at a distance, transport, procurement;

- cultural program

- transport for non-finishing teams from pick-up points as directed by the Race Master.

Paid separately by participants through org. Committee:

• Additional transport along the distance from the place of request to the pick-up point or to the Cosmos hotel - if possible, at the request of the participants.

In a situation where the participants cannot independently move to the nearest pick-up point for health reasons, the participants are obliged to notify the organizers to provide rescue, emergency assistance.

The order and method of payment of the entry fee will be announced additionally to the e-mail addresses indicated by the participants during registration.
